ISAPI Filters Removed

The functionality for many of the ISAPI filters for earlier versions of IIS are now built into IIS. The

following table highlights these changes.

Upgrading ASP Web Applications

When upgrading ASP Web applications to Windows Server 2003, note the following:

• Allow ASP extension. Make sure the ASP extension is set to Allowed, the default setting when

upgrading Windows NT Server 4.0 to Windows Server 2003. With a clean installation ASP will be

prohibited, as noted earlier.

• Enable server-side script. ASP pages written with VBScript or ECMAScript (JScript, JavaScript)

will not run until the ASP ISAPI extension is enabled.
